Right now I am creating these really quick images with the dancers. I think for the past few years I have thought of the small drawings as blueprints for larger paintings. But now the mission has changed; I think because I am struggling to hard to make a finished piece rather than enjoying the creative process and experimenting. These drawings are images of dances that I direct and the backgrounds are the imaginary sets. My thinking maybe is that a set designers job is to create believable surroundings and backgrounds, and I am trying to the same right now. I am not focused on perfection right now, I am trying to create movement and the sense of the moment.

I have been making so many drawings of dancers. I would totally love to do a residency in a dance school.

The intersections and observations from one artist to another perhaps are fueling these ideas.

Its not that im obsessed with little girls or anything,. I think I love these pagent photos because they are all characters with big heads and little bodies, they all have on gaudy outfits with tiaras, and in some way they all have masks on.
