I think for the past few years I have thought of the small drawings as blueprints for larger paintings. But now the mission has changed; I think because I am struggling to hard to make a finished piece rather than enjoying the creative process and experimenting. These drawings are images of dances that I direct and the backgrounds are the imaginary sets. My thinking maybe is that a set designers job is to create believable surroundings and backgrounds, and I am trying to the same right now. I am not focused on perfection right now, I am trying to create movement and the sense of the moment.
